A Contemplation Seed on ‘Anti-Gravity’ (for Better Endings)

Imagine: You live in a world where “gravity” does not exist. Instead of perpetually falling toward heavier matter, you rise or move about in any direction at will, according to a Law of Assumption. You simply assume a viewpoint at whatever vista you allow; even multiple viewpoints at once, if you wish.

You perceive as a conscious, distinct, unique and aware point of view, with no fixed body yet you may try on or project whatever self-image you choose.

You are Soul, the IAMTHATIAM. As Soul, you may occupy bodies to experience the gravity of this world, see? Yet the IAMTHATIAM is able also to transcend the pull or warp of embodied life situations or addictions.

From the Soul perspective, IAMTHATIAM is free insofar as It (I/ you) chooses to rise above the grooves the body falls along.

I/you can dream, meditate, contemplate, reflect, refresh and renew, at will.

I composed the above contemplation seed after watching a Science Channel program about how difficult it has been as yet for scientists to develop antigravity propulsion that would allow space travel without the need for expensive and burdensome fuels. I see this as a metaphor for our experience as embodied Souls going about our existence in the physical realm of matter-energy-space-time. So, let me continue:

Whatever is the Matter in your life circumstances or habits, you can rise above the density as a point of view that Sees, Knows, and that may Be or become whatever It will accept or imagine. When you are able to See where you are at, how you got Here and where you appear to be headed, you have the freedom of choice to make changes and/or to learn from the course upon which you have embarked.

This is why assuming some time-out-of-time daily to dream, to contemplate actively, to deeply imagine or visualize, to journal, to Center, to practice whatever techniques you may choose to attain greater Self-realization or higher awareness may open your capacity to review, to reflect, and to project forth from a more creative, ‘better endings’ perspective.

Such an ‘Antigrav’ perspective is neither a panacea nor an escape from the necessary consequences of our matter-bound courses of action already in motion. We live and hopefully learn from our experiences, which is after all the core value and benefit of Gravity. Still, we can rise above to observe the Moment, to exercise our ultimate independence beyond the worldly illusions of solidity.

Better Endings to All!

Stephen Hawking from the Other Side (or, What’s Love Got to Do With It?)

This year we are exploring and pursuing our dreams here at Better Endings. Each month I invite you to put forth a deep personal question that relates to your high spiritual quest, let’s say, for it pertains to your greatest sense of mission or life purpose, in this life or beyond.

After posing your question (week 1) I encourage you to pay attention to and record your nightly dreams (week 2), then to contemplate your waking dreams and emerging insights about your question (week 3), so by the end of the month (week 4) you can compose/ write a Better Endings story or scenario about how best to incorporate what you have learned into your future Life Path.

I am excited this week from a dream I had yesterday morning (4/9) and to reflect on how it pertains to my own monthly personal question (but, please use your own): What’s Love Got to Do With It? (or, Does/ How Can Love Matter?)

In my dream I am at a campus of—truly—Higher Learning (n.b., always use present tense in recalling your dream). First I am visiting a sports field where teams dressed in white and azure blue are playing a game akin to soccer except they use thought impulses to propel or to counter the ‘ball’ along the field a to goal area. A middle-aged appearing man approaches the field to observe the game with us from the right. I think to myself, ‘Is that Stephen Hawking?’—from his shock of hair though it is reddish here, and from his lithe step…until I realize this man is not in a wheelchair, which throws me at first.

Then I wheel/ drive a wheeled chair vehicle to carry a friend (woman, semitic appearing) to a special meal event. (This part was so important in my dreaming that it had an instant replay so I would be sure to recall it on waking.) The guest of honor at this honorary meal was indeed Stephen Hawking! This time he appeared more like I would envision him though he was seated upright and without any wheelchair or speech problems.

The people who had organized and were hosting this special event are two of the greatest spiritual leaders I have been fortunate to know: Luisa and Gordon (last names not used here for their privacy), who are superb leaders with a spiritual group I have been associated with in Colorado. Several other guests at the table include a couple of other folks from that group and some special, once famous bright thinkers who have ‘passed on.’

Hawking shares a new insight he has gained since translating his form into the higher planes with the death of his physical form. Luisa observes that the principle he is describing could help ‘the Poor’ (though she qualifies that she is not yet sure if she would support such use for the sake of wanting people to strengthen rather than being dependent on quick solutions). Hawking agrees. He says that ‘students’ can, ‘even now’ (i.e. in the Physical, I surmise) use this principle to create abundance to meet their immediate needs, by manifesting through some sort of feedback loop effect, “reflecting (thought? spirit?) back on itself.” This statement is so astounding and exciting to me in the ‘dream’ that I wake up immediately on hearing this (btw, a good way to remember an important lucid dream message is to train yourself to wake up right then).

So, “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” Everything. My bigger question about Love this month is ‘(How) Can Love Matter?’ which itself more deeply asks: Is there (after all) a meaning and purpose or positive results from living this (i.e. a particular) lifetime? As Love Is All, the basic fabric of the Universe and all things and Spirit Itself that fills such universe (my view), What/How Can Love Matter (“in the End”)?

In this dream of Stephen Hawking continuing to grow and share his uniquely gifted insight from Beyond in an after this lifetime context, well then, Wow!

Love/ Life/ It CAN and often DOES Matter, Very Much!

A lifetime of experience is not wasted and provides spacetime for developing or honing awareness and, hopefully, wisdom. We are unfolding this individualized awareness and character not just in a single lifetime (my belief includes the assumption of reincarnation to the point of eventually transcending even that); and not only in our current bodies that carry us along for a life cycle, but beyond that as well.

It comes down to what we can do with the love we have expressed and the awareness gained in a lifetime of focused experience. The old adage, “you can’t take it with you” does not abide here. True enough, we do not take or physical body nor our material acquisitions with us as we translate from this lifetime into the next/ other dimensions. But we do retain our individualized consciousness as a facet of our higher Soul awareness, a spark of divine wisdom, a molecule in the creative fountainhead, from the Ocean of love/life force Itself (my limited view, of course).

So, goodbye to Despair! This has been my deeper concern over the past few monthly themes. (This) lifetime can/ does/ shall matter, for Love is All, the source and basis of all transcendent awareness. This reminds me of a useful insight:

The Urge to Merge: The Sacred Marriage

Preface:  Today (solar eclipse day, 8/21/17) I want to wish a Very Happy Birthday!!! to hom a:kuwaye (my special Zuni friends, twins) Arlene and Darlene. And thank you for your prayers and sage advice about my concerns in the blog that follows. They have let me know that one of the Rain Priests at Zuni, a relative of theirs, has been praying for Longevity. WE should all be very grateful to Zuni religious leaders who have the whole of humanity in their hearts and prayers!

Oh yes, and also Thank YOU to all Followers linked to this blog. Yesterday we reached the magic number of 5000 Followers, which has been a major goal for me from the beginning!

 

I am contemplating life and “death” tonight.  The US may be at the verge of a conflict that may easily get out of balance; our human and animal lives are fragile and could be taken quickly.  So our topic this month of the Sacred Marriage is all that more vital to comprehend.  The phrase “the urge to merge” came to me in contemplation.  Soul merges with Spirit.  We are not these bodies but the consciousness of Soul within the Ocean of Love and Mercy we may call Divinity.

As we realize this, that Soul and Spirit and Divinity are a Unity, a Oneness, then we understand that life can never be either given nor can It be taken away. It just Is, as Isness Itself, and that is a loving condition, the ultimate awareness of IAMTHATIAM, or, Alone with the All One.

I remember a Star Trek original series episode where a species’ Sun was going nova so they needed to be transported away.  They had evolved to pure energy beings, so Kirk and his officers allowed the passengers to semi-possess their body states in order to be transported.  What I recall is how separated and alone they felt, wearing bodies.

I don’t usually speak too directly of spirituality in this blog, but the times as well as the topic lead me to do so now.  I will share a vision I experienced a few years ago, as it transcends any specific religious dogma.

A Being visited me in that wonderful interstice zone between sleeping and waking.  I could not assign a gender or a race to this beautiful Being.  S/he was gentle and loving is all I can say, with a delicate beauty beyond any mere bodily state.

“How are things going out there?” The Visitor asked me.

I paused to reflect, then answered:

“Well, there are lots of  people believing in many different religions,” I heard myself respond.  “But most people are still afraid of death.”

The Visitor paused as on a breath and issued softly:

“Next time, we won’t do Religion.”

The Urge to Merge with Spirit, with Divine Love that IS who we Are as Soul, is the most natural and graceful inspiration we can allow.  Sweet surrender, trust, and faith can lead us Home, which we have never really left anyway.

Cross the Threshold to Your Greatest Adventure

The greatest adventure is living life fully in the NOW (see “Alternate Futurescapes” recent post). Now then, the NOW is not necessarily but does include the Present of time-space. NOWness as well includes your own Past and Future lived and liveable experience (as arrays of possibilities) and the total range of possibility arcs in this lifetime, in parallel (e.g. ‘past or future lives’) and in the mulitiverse at large! Have I blown your mind yet? What the heck am I suggesting here? Yes, that You, as a Soul divinely gifted with a capacity for perception and vision–i.e., your creative, active imagination, not just your mental memory banks or existing synaptic networks–are free to explore, examine, and create forms from formless substances; you as Soul are indeed a Creator of and in your own worlds.

So, I encourage you to exercise your innate freedom of consciousness! You needn’t hesitate to daydream, and pay attention to your nighttime revelations as well as to those waking dreams that bring a message to you in the moment. If you were to lock your keys in your car, for example, how might that be a waking dream for you? Maybe it is telling you to pay closer attention, or not to close yourself out of a potential vehicle for moving forward. Take that job offer, for instance, when this sort of waking dream symbol occurs.

Crossing the threshold to your Greatest Adventure signifies living your life to its fullest potentials, Now, and Now too, and also NOW! In this sense the nature of your life event may be less important than how you experience, frame or respond to it.

Life is transitory: its constructs of imagery, form and emotions ebb and flow as your consciousness focuses or directs your attention (or else as we react, based on former constructions; so, far better the former).

So now, take heed and celebrate every blessed moment, not only in this lifetime you are creating but in the Wholeness of Life Itself.  The mystic sages tell us, and I do believe, that in the most ultimate awareness of truth, Life of Itself is only LOVE.

Love (or, Spirit) is: “…that thread, so fine as to be invisible, yet so strong as to be unbreakable — which binds together all beings in all the worlds of God, in all universes, throughout all time, and beyond time into eternity.” (Paul Twitchell, The Shariyat-Ki-SUGMAD, Book 1).

A Mystic Better Ending

Some stories have better endings as their theme. Transformational storylines in general are often of this nature: faced with dire adversity and challenged to the depths, a protagonist overcomes  their own inherent flaws to triumph for the better interests of all concerned.

The Arthurian legend is of this nature, even though King Arthur himself is killed in battle at the end of the saga. Yet, he has triumphed in his very effort to rekindle knightly chivalry in a context of surrounding chicanery. The Roundtable itself symbolizes a Mystic ideal of shared heroic camaraderie and courage to offset and overcome the forces of Darkness or selfish greed.

Arthur’s own mentor, of course, is the Mystic Wizard Merlin, who has tutored Arthur from childhood to use his intuitive understanding, his Heart, in becoming the greatest, fairest Leader he can be. Camelot represents something like a Shangri La utopian Kingdom set in a practical feudalistic society.

Arthur overcomes internal adversity in mastering the duality presented by his beloved Guenevere and his similarly beloved Lancelot finding each other in kismet despite their deep respect for and loyalty to Arthur. This situation challenges King Arthur to the core. He must oust Lancelot and pass sentence on his Queen because that is the law of the land to which he is bound by his own chivalrous nature. Various accounts hint at Arthur’s inward forgiveness and acceptance of the star-crossed lovers despite his necessary actions in the human realm.

I believe the resolution of the story of Arthur highlights the depths and heights—the duality–of the human condition. We are each of us Soul, having a human experience, yet our nature is of divine love as eternal, in-dwelling Soul. Our Outer lives often call for action that our Inner natures resolve better, deeper than may be possible to realize or to express directly. As such, we learn our lessons and unfold,/ moving on to continue to face ourselves and set new goals. Relationships ‘end,’ yet if they have fulfilled their purpose, then moving on is for the better interests of all concerned.

The Mystic archetype is that part of each of us that can embrace duality or paradox and achieve what Jung calls the Mysterium Conjunctionus: the Sacred Marriage of Opposite natures, united as One. This is an INNER marriage, of Spirit/Self with Body/Emotion/Mind.  This is the Better-est Ending of all, Always.

Crossing a Threshold to Embark on Your Greatest Adventure

For the month of May I will illuminate here the archetype of the ARTIST and the Life Metaphor of Life as “Crossing a Threshold to Embark on your Greatest Adventure.” Crossing a Threshold refers to taking a step in a bold new direction that leads to the fulfillment of Living Your Dream, Now!

Most people live most of their lives either going forward into the future based on  experiences and effects from their past, or they live from day to day in the protective bubble of present events that stretch from the familiar past into a similar future.  This does not necessarily embody living with awareness in the NOW.

Nowness is often mistaken for yet remains independent of timespace; it is where your consciousness is rooted, Moment by Moment. It is a state of balance or stasis you maintain that embues the liberation to choose freely what your experience—in or out of timespace–shall Be.

In order to step across the threshold of experience rather than being condemned to repeat or perpetuate sameness–like the mythical Sisyphus going up and back down his mountain interminally–you must know who you Are (Soul, not embodiment) and where you desire and intend to go based on your mission, purpose and goals, or your Life Dream. So, it helps to contemplate where you are at this time in your life in relation to that which you desire to manifest that may or may not extend from your present life conditions.

To genuinely cross the threshold to fulfill your life mission and dream, you need to detach yourself from your present, like a marionette cutting her strings to find s/he was a human all along!

Can you think of a time when you accomplished a ‘quantum leap’ to a whole new quality or level of life experience than before? How did you do this?

Tiger and Mouse, by Gail (an Archetypal Dialogue Guest Story)

Hi,
Your blog is interesting. We had an event happen or I guess a couple of things which makes me wonder what mirror I’m putting out. My two characters in this dialogue will be Tiger for me as Soul, a child of God who loves herself. Mouse will be the other side who feels she has to hold on to straws and settle for whatever enters her life.

First the back story:

My husband and I are both blind. Therefore, we do depend on friends to help us. We have someone who we have known for many years who often has helped us do atm transactions, read mail with personal information, has picked up stuff for us and used our debit card to do so. We pay for the gas we use, and often allow him to buy meals.

Last month sometime we got one of those mailers which offers a loan for an lump some of money. Then you have to pay it back within a specified time period.

This loan came in my husband’s name. It is very remotely possible that it could have been taken out of the mailbox by a stranger. Whoever did this knew my husband’s Social Security, and all the other pertinent information needed for the form. On the 22nd of last month a check from this loan company was cashed. Our account number was on the back. In my thinking this was planned. Since the loan check was sent out in March and it wasn’t cashed until April. He put his phone number instead of ours and it was cashed at a branch which we never go to.

We went into the loan company and they said as long as we file a police report we won’t be held liable for the payments. They said they’ve been trying to call his number to welcome him to the program after he cashed the check but he doesn’t acknowledge their calls. If he had put our phone number then nothing could be traced back to him.

This really smarts since in many ways he’s a likeable guy and my husband and he have worked on a number of projects together.

Tiger: “I love myself and deserve to be valued. I know I need help with stuff because of my disability yet I am worthwhile enough to have people around me who want to be friends and understand there are times when I’ll or we’ll need extra assistance. My willingness to share meals and a listening ear is worth the trade.”

Mouse: “You know he has made many poor choices in most of his life so you shouldn’t be surprised. Besides, you really need him to run errands for you. Besides, everybody since they are Soul needs unconditional love.”

Tiger:
“I’m not a door matt. I don’t have to settle forsome who uses my husband’s identity to get money he doesn’t have any intention of paying back. It was a blessing from God that I found the statement saying how much the payments were for. We were able to start the process before it went against his credit.”

Mouse:
“You should just pay for the loan because you need his help. You can’t afford to make people angry at you.”

Tiger: “It’s not about whether we make him mad or not. It’s about what the truth is.
The truth is if he didn’t do this then all of us need to know who did to protect all of our identities.
Is it necessary? Yes, I value myself and my husband and we shouldn’t pay for somebody else’s stupidity. I trust the Holy Spirit to help us solve this situation with as little baggage as possible.

Mouse: “No one will help you if you turn him into the police for fraud. They would all be afraid you’d make up something and do the same to them.”

Tiger: “You are a child of God and worth joy and happiness.I trust my spiritual guide; the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master is always with me. He looks out for me as long as I remain a loving soul.”

Dear Gail: I notice that in your Archetype Dialogue, Tiger speaks first as well as last, suggesting this is the stronger viewpoint.

Tiger can be an ELDER LEADER or a WARRIOR archetype.

Mouse, in all its “mousey” aspect, can be a Shadow IDEALIST or a Shadow NURTURER archetype. By Shadow I mean this is the “negative” or “weaker” mode of these two archetypes. Of course, a mouse could also be a Mighty Mouse! But yours seems more timid than that.

How can you integrate these two? It is possible to be strong and assertive yet also kind. (I saw a bumper sticker on a car today that said: “Be Kinder than you need to be!” Perhaps this was a waking dream.) The fact that these archetypal aspects express themselves in opposition here suggests to me that if you combine their energies, you can go forward as the loving Soul you are while not allowing others to take advantage of you.

Enabling a Thief (also a  Shadowy archetype, a DESCENDER) not only allows them to get away with perpetrating on innocent people but lets them think they can get away with this again, affecting others and possibly you again, if you continue to utilize his ‘help’. For them to learn their lesson in this lifetime–to confront the karmic results they have reaped–may require for you, or someone eventually, to confront them with this fraudulent aspect of their own nature. How else can they learn, and how else can you be true to yourself? Your inner dialogue may represent two aspects of your inner guidance, as well! Two images of Soul, or a Master and chela interaction?- Linda

Why ‘Better Endings’?

Change a story, change a life…Yours!

Better Endings is a principle, an ideal that reveals the highest capacities of the human heart and Spirit.  It is inherent in our Soul’s journey, I believe, to strive to overcome adversity, to approach and slay (or, tame) our inner Dragons, to triumph despite apparent setbacks or restrictions.

“I can do it!,” says the Littlle Blue Engine in a childhood story of encouragement.  “Reach for the unreachable Star!,” says a beleaguered Man of La Mancha. There are no impossible dreams, for our dreams lead us inexorably forward, so long as we allow ourselves to follow.

Thirteen years ago, during a time of self-questioning about my own life purpose and goals, I literally woke from sleep one morning to the clear vision of a bold, black lettered sign or placard pasted right between my eyes, that read:

YOU HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY

TO REALIZE YOUR DREAMS,

NOT JUST FOR GETTING BY.

This message has become a credo for me ever since. It has led me to develop, over twelve years of research and development, the Life Maps Process, which is a personal growth and development toolkit that allows you to reconstruct and reflect upon patterns, themes and chapters in your life to Now so you may better equip yourself with your own archetypal Strengths and Cross the Threshold to a more consciously envisioned future. Live Your Dream, Now! is the better endings mantra you can realize through the art of Life Path Mapping.

Better Endings says to all of us to “Never Give Up!”.  As long as we can exercise and stretch our human faculty of Imagination we CAN Realize our Life Dream instead of Just Getting By. This is true regardless of your circumstances; while yes, some paths may be blocked to you due to irreversible circumstances, yet there is always a better endings scenario you CAN fulfill, or at least a ‘best possible’ one.

I invite you to a year of Better Endings!  It is yours for the price of sharing–inwardly and outwardly, if you so choose–so ultimately you can reclaim and Live YOUR Dream!
